Successful implementation of RadiantFleet Solutions at Scylla Group
RadiantFleet, a leading maritime software solution provider, is proud to announce the successful implementation of its cutting-edge digital platform at pioneering shipping company Scylla Group.
Founded in 1973 in Basel, Switzerland by the family Reitsma, the Scylla Group is today renowned for its innovative use of maritime technology and the exceptional quality and design of its entire fleet. Soon after Scylla commenced operations, the Group purchased its first ship which was reconstructed into a passenger cruise vessel and named the MS Scylla. Over the course of the last 50 years, the Scylla Group has grown extensively by way of new ships, new routes, new technologies and new designs; each with their unique character, united by Scylla DNA. In 2023, the Group continues to be owned by the Reitsma family and now owns and manages a fleet of 40 ships. Delivering a full package to their partners is the essence of their business. “Everything from a single source.” A quote that also resonates with RadiantFleet.
The Challenge
Due to the complexity of the international aspect and division of the Hotel and Nautic departments, Scylla Group found itself managing a challenging mixture of payroll procedures, planning workflows, follow-up reporting and safety notices through a manual system of paper forms and documents. Furthermore, Scylla Group was also in need of a specific payroll system to fulfill Swiss regulations.
The Solution
RadiantFleet focused on collaborating with other IT partners of the Scylla Group to set-up efficient data sharing processes. In a period of less than 6 months, RadiantFleet has managed to address many of the challenges faced by the Scylla Group through the successful implementation of the RadiantFleet Crewing, Crew Portal and Payroll solutions.
“Digital collaboration helped improve the crewing efficiency, reduce administration and let us focus on our main tasks. The platform supports our work quality that we want to deliver to our crew on board and HR colleagues.”
